Papers we use – the Canson Infinity brand

Canson® Infinity is the brand name of Digital Fine Art & Photo line created by Canson and Arches paper factories. Canson® is the leading French company in paper sector. It has been developing research on cotton quality and purity of papers, enhanced and tested for the workflow of Digital Fine Art prints by ink jet. The array of Canson® Infinity provides a wide selection of different types of paper – from extra smooth to textured surface – with different shades of white – from natural to ultra white.

Our Lab approves completely of the Canson® quality and provides the following paper:

- Canson Baryta Photographique 310g: it is a true Baryta paper developed for inkjet technology. It consists of an alpha-cellulose, acid-free pure white paper with the same barium sulphate coating as for traditional silver halide and a premium inkjet colour receiver layer.

- Canson Platine Fibre Rag 310g: Setting the benchmark for Digital Darkroom papers, Platine Fibre Rag provides the aesthetic and feel of the original F-Type Baryta Fibre paper, having a true pure white tone without using optical brighteners that are known to affect the longevity of digitally produced images. Platine Fibre Rag’s extremely high Dmax and exceptional grey tones make this the product of choice for the most demanding photographic prints, both black and white and color.

- Canson Rag Photographique 310g: it is a 100% cotton, museum quality, white Fine Art and photo paper. Its exceptionally smooth white tone is achieved during manufacturing by introducing natural minerals into the process. It has been developed to address the need for continued longevity required by the Digital Fine Art market. It also provides one of the highest achievable Dmax currently available on the market, which allows you to get strong colours and full dark, making it ideal for fine art photography as well as fine art printmaking.

- Canson PrintMaKing Rag 310g: it has a unique pure white without optical brighteners and an incomparable, fine and silky touch. This exceptional paper is ideal for fine art prints and photographs and gives them a very prestigious aura.
